Some wedding days just have a way of beautifully unfolding, and Carlie and Brent's springtime wedding in Norfolk was exactly that.
With sunshine, daffodils in full bloom and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere from start to finish, their day was a perfect reminder that some of the best moments are the ones you never plan.
This was an extra special one as I was previously photographer for Carlie's mums wedding, and it's always so lovely and a real privilege to be asked back to capture more memories for a family and see lots of familiar faces.
A Beautiful Ceremony at Worstead Church
The day began at the stunning Worstead Church, one of Norfolk's most picturesque churches. Surrounded by family and friends, Carlie and Brent exchanged their vows in a ceremony that was full of emotion, laughter and genuine happiness.
As guests spilled out into the spring sunshine afterwards, there were hugs, confetti, smiles and that unmistakable excitement that only comes from the moment two people are officially married.
A Quick Stop at The White Lady
Rather than heading straight to the reception, Carlie and Brent made a stop at The White Lady for a celebratory drink together. It made for some great photos - especially as Carlie hopped up on top of the bar! These little detours are often some of my favourite moments to photograph. They're completely full of personality and really add to the story of the day.
The Best Kind of Surprise...Mr Whippy!
As if the afternoon couldn't get any better, a Mr Whippy ice cream van happened to be nearby.
Of course there was only one thing to do...the couple grabbed an ice cream and a couple of quick snaps before climbing back into the car.
No planning - Just one of those spontaneous moments that perfectly captured the relaxed feel of the day. It's these unexpected memories that couples often end up talking about long after the wedding itself so make sure to leave space in the day for them.
Arriving at the Beautiful Worstead Estate
The celebrations continued at the breathtaking Worstead Estate, one of Norfolk's most beautiful wedding venues.
The drive into the estate was simply stunning. Lined with vibrant yellow daffodils stretching into the distance. The splash of colour made the perfect backdrop. Every corner of the estate offered another beautiful setting.
A Relaxed Evening Full of Laughter
As the evening settled in, everyone relaxed into the celebrations. There were drinks in the sunshine, plenty of laughter, heartfelt speeches and lots of time for guests to simply enjoy being together.
Carlie and Brent embraced every part of the day, making time to enjoy each other, their guests and all the little moments in between.
Thank You Carlie and Brent, thank you for letting me capture such an incredible day. From your beautiful ceremony at Worstead Church, to celebratory drinks at The White Lady, an impromptu Mr Whippy stop and a gorgeous evening at Worstead Estate, your wedding was filled with joy, laughter and unforgettable memories.
Wishing you both a lifetime of adventures together.
