Dora and Tom - An Autumn Wedding at Hautbois Hall, Norfolk
Dora and Tom’s wedding is one of those days that has stayed with me.
There was something incredibly special about the whole day - from the beautiful autumn colours and seasonal details, to the laughter, emotion and all those little moments happening quietly in between.
Hautbois Hall provided the most beautiful backdrop for their celebration, with the autumn landscape adding so much warmth and colour to the photographs.
Inside - the seasonal touches and gorgeous autumn decor made everything feel cosy, welcoming and completely in keeping with the time of year.
From the big emotional moments to the smiles, laughter and little glances that can so easily be missed, Dora and Tom’s day was full of love and those genuine moments that tell the story of how it actually felt to be there.
The lovely wedding planner, Cheryl, was on hand throughout the day, making sure everything ran smoothly - allowing Dora and Tom to simply enjoy it all. It’s one of those behind-the-scenes roles that makes such a difference to a wedding day - quietly keeping everything moving while everyone else gets to celebrate.
And then there was a very special guest…
After the ceremony, their gorgeous Labrador came along for a visit and to feature in some photographs. I’m always a fan of bringing the family dog into wedding photos when it’s possible, and this was such a lovely little part of their day.
One of my favourite things about photographing weddings is capturing the moments that aren't planned. The tight hugs, the laughter between friends, a look across the room, someone wiping away a tear, the chaos just before the dancing begins.
Dora and Tom’s wedding had so many of those moments.
And when the formalities were over, the celebrations really got going. There was a brilliant party waiting for everyone, with plenty of laughter, dancing and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to keep photographing long after the official photographs are finished.
An autumn wedding, a beautiful Norfolk setting, their favourite people around them, and a whole lot of love.
It was an absolute pleasure to be there to capture it all.
All the very best Dora and Tom, Thank you for having me.
